EASD San Telmo EXHIBITION: when fashion tells stories

At Centro Comercial Larios, we hosted a very special exhibition by the San Telmo School of Art and Design of Málaga, which allowed us to discover the talent, creativity and different perspectives of the second-year students of the Higher Degree in Artistic Crafts and Design in Fashion Modelling.

From 9 to 20 October, we were able to enjoy a selection of their final projects, which highlighted that fashion can be much more than an aesthetic matter: it can also be a way of expressing who we are, where we come from and how we understand the world.

EASD San Telmo. Seven projects, seven universes

Each student developed a project with its own identity, based on different research processes, experiences and references.

Among the proposals, we discovered El Salón habitado, by Rocío Cerezo, which blends the decorative opulence of the 19th century with contemporary comfort; Pa los míos, by Clara García, inspired by childhood, family and her rural roots; and La jaula del placer, by Almudena Sánchez Medina, an avant-garde proposal inspired by bondage aesthetics.

We also had the opportunity to discover Acento, by Lucía Blancat, a reinterpretation of contemporary Andalusian identity; La estructura del desapego, by Renata Belletti, focusing on the transformation of identity associated with migration; and Luz de Jade, by Paula Cerón, which explores the coexistence of her Chinese roots and Andalusian culture.

The exhibition was rounded off with No me van a detener, by Carolina Rodríguez, a project that explores the search for one’s own identity and the breaking of stereotypes through punk, tartan and pop-punk influences.

Fashion as a form of expression

Beyond the garments and techniques used, all these projects shared something in common: a story behind them.

Each proposal stemmed from research and a different personal motivation, transforming clothing into a means of telling stories, preserving memories, reinterpreting traditions and building new identities.

The exhibition provided the perfect finale to San Telmo Fashion Week 2026, a week dedicated to fashion, design and creativity, showcasing the work of students from the San Telmo School of Art and Higher Design in Málaga.

At Larios, we were delighted to bring these proposals closer to the public and share the talent of a new generation of female designers.

Continuing our commitment to culture in Málaga

Once again, we have renewed our collaboration with the San Telmo School of Art to showcase the talent of students from the Fashion Design Degree Programme through a new showroom.

A unique opportunity that allowed us to discover the creations of Málaga’s future designers up close and promote culture and emerging talent in our city.
